About the Ranch

Winding along Gilman Springs Road, through the badlands between California's Highway 60 and the cities of Hemet and San Jacinto, the desolate landscape hides an oasis tucked into one of the canyons.  Behind a row of pepper trees lies the conference grounds of the Regular Baptist Conference of Southern California.  From its dry and dusty origins, God has used men and women with a passion and vision for Him to make Victory Ranch what it is today.

God has blessed this ministry as it has reached out to hundreds of campers each year, challenging lives and influencing people for His honor and glory.  Trees dot the once barren hillsides, many of which dwarf the adjacent buildings.

Green playfields and lawns cover the dirt play areas of the early campgrounds.  The two-story Hotel building, the lime kilns, and the chapel (once a barn) stand as silent reminders of the property's heritage from the 1800's.  Of the original 11 cabins on Olive Tree Lane, 4 remain today.  Another 18 buildings and structures join them to create a facility which can now accommodate over 200 campers.

The mission of the Regular Baptist Conference of Southern California (RBCSC) remains to conduct youth camps, promote youth activities, conduct Bible & Missions Conferences and Institutes, and preach the Gospel.

Currently we sponsor three weeks of summer camp for young people in the 3rd - 12th grades, a staff-training week, monthly church sings, Bonfire Bonanza (a youth rally/beach party), Fall and Spring Men's and Ladies Retreats, and other camps and off-site activities.

Although just off a major road, the quiet serenity that the Ranch offers provides an ideal location for God to work in the hearts and lives of our guests as they leave their cares and worries behind for a week of camp.  Our summer campers are met by loving, caring counselors who seek to ensure that each of their campers know Jesus Christ as his or her own personal Savior.  Campers are encouraged to get into God's Word themselves through daily devotions, as well as attending two Chapel times each day.  Campers enjoy many activities including: archery, crafts, hiking, horses, a petting zoo, swimming, and great food.

The ranch employs 3-5 full-time employees, in addition to part-time employees and volunteers.  During the summer, there are 25-30 seasonal volunteers and counselors that facilitate the three weeks of camp that Victory Ranch operates.  The off-season improvements are often made by volunteers and work groups from the Roving Volunteers in Christ's Service (RVICS) Organization who have faithfully ministered for at least one month a year for the past 20 years.

For all of these we say: To God be the glory forever. Amen.
